چکیده
A total 37 garlic landraces collection from Nepal Genebank were characterized using phenotypic trait maps or agro morphological markers at National Agriculture Genetic Resources Centre (Genebank), Khumaltar, Lalitpur, during 2017 quantitative and qualitative traits. Shannon Weaver diversity index (H’) analysis revealed significant intra landrace for both Nine principal components contributed 100 % to the cumulative variance first three principle with Eigen value >1 accounted 69.9 of entire variability. The cluster grouped accessions into five distinct group. The Accession CO4816 5 superior in terms yield attributing characters such as number cloves/bulb, weight cloves but found be shorter is plant height. Pearson correlation among eight traits showed highly positive between leaf length width, shaft length, yield, yield. high associated cloves. frequency distribution disease (Cercospora leafspot Alternaria porii) occurrence very low 78 accessions.

Garlic is one of the most widespread and ancient medicinal plants. Its health benefits are due to its chemical components, and among these is carbohydrate, whose characteristics have been so far little investigated. The aim of this study is to typify the various components of carbohydrate (starch, individual sugars, fructans, and total dietary fibre) in four commonly consumed “Italian local lan...

Lectins have always demonstrated their role in bearing insecticidal activity. They are although considered to be toxic for mammals but some studies have reported that the presence of mannose binding region is believed to impart non-toxic nature to lectins against mammals including humans. In the present investigation, the research was conducted to elucidate the relationship of lectin gene LECAS...
